Love This Place...😍😀
My family and I have passed the Rusty Tractor hundreds of times on the way to ocean shores. Yesterday we finally decided to stop in for breakfast. Not only were all of us disappointed with the food, my wife and our teenage son both got sick about an hour or two after we left. Stomach sick all day and throughout the night. My son ordered biscuits and gravy. He took a couple bites and said that it tasted funny. My wife tasted it, and agreed. We believe the biscuit gravy was bad and caused the sickness. Honestly, overall it was one of the poorest quality prepared and served food orders I've ever experienced. The french toast was like frozen Ego boxed french toast. Service was good, but we won't return. Sorry
There breakfasts are great. Every time I have been there I have ordered something different and I have been very pleased. One of these days I need to make it over for dinner.
We stopped here on our way home from Olympic National Park. We liked here. Love the atmosphere, very friendly waitress. This place is decorated to the maximum with antique items with all those rusty tractors outside. Great food. We ordered double cheeseburger. Really big and tasty. We will definitely stop here again.
Wonderful menu, atmosphere and wait staff! I love coming here
Kerry's Great Grandfather use frequent this establishment every morning or afternoon and would sit and tell stories about how times were changing and how business was simply conducted with a handshake and who were meant something. This was a time when your name was your contract they didn't buy things based on a credit report you paid cash. And if you didn't make your payments you didn't just keep the item. I think maybe these were simpler times just 60 years ago.
Very nice place, decorated with antiques and cool paintings. Very aesthetic. Food was perfect too, I got the eggs benedict I highly recommend it they did it very well
Hearty food, prompt service and family friendly.
I really enjoyed RT. I tried to order my meal with a meow here and there for 10 percent off but failed. I had two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast and it was perfect. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. The waitresses were kind and very attentive. Will definitely stop here again.
Wow, has this place changed! I went with my friends for my birthday. I ordered top sirloin and shrimp. My meal came I was given a new york steak because they had run out. The steak was paper thin and nothing but grisle. My shrimp did not arrive. I asked for my shrimp and I got a "oh you want shrimp, I will order you some" all of us looked at her with a ? We all made a big deal of me getting that much. Well anyway, I asked for the manager; she was not their that day but one of the owners was available. Right away he started arguing with me that he cut all the New York steaks him self and they were perfect. He was willing to give us 10% off. Really a 30$ meal I didn't eat. None of us will be back!
We went on Christmas Eve and it was busy and it took a bit to get seated but everyone was very friendly. We got their just at the cutoff time for pancakes but they made sure to let the kitchen know to save some as that is what my daughter wanted. I ordered a biscuit, gravy, sausage, egg and hash browns combo and it was tasty especially the biscuit! My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said it was great and my daughter loved the pancakes. The food was delicious, the portions were large and the waitress was great. No complaints!
I feel like this place has improved in the last couple years since I was here last. Rachel in the bar was absolutely awesome. The bar was extremely clean and welcoming!
Great local restaurant with small town charm. Good homestyle cooking and good service. Be prepared for a wait if they are busy. They are looking for help but a little short staffed at the time of this review. Would definitely eat here again.
Really rustic awesome decor. The staff was friendly and it definitely gives you the vibe they were going for. The food was really great, we did breakfast and yum! It was a Saturday morning and super busy and the staff was still very attentive and friendly. I will be back when I'm in the area again!
So good! Chicken fried steak was bomb .com
Delicious! Huge portions for the price you pay! Very friendly staff!
The food was pretty decent, portions were good. The biscuits were huge. We had an impatient 2 year old with us and the server was helpful. Lots of hidden gems on the walls and ceiling to have your children try to find. Female bathroom has a koala changing table and wheelchair accessible restroom and dining area. RV parking lot available.
This restaurant is intriguing because of all of the antiques, they're everywhere. This place has great curb appeal because of Rusty Wagons, paintings, rosters and a wall of good old fashioned jello molds. Once you enter the restaurant their are more things, short wave radio, giant old Mason jars, and kids toys from the past. Once the kid in you Settles you can examine the menu. We were there for breakfast, which included all the usual players with one notable exception they feature a Spicy Bloody Maria for breakfast. So of course we ordered them, excellent I've personally decided I much prefer them to Bloody Mary's or Caesars. Good food, interesting atmosphere, attentive wait staff and great Bloody Maria's....
Excellent! Great food and portions. 1 waitress for half of the restaurant and she was awesome. Awesome I say. Great comfort food with awesome flavor. Lots of stuff on the walls and very clean.
So I have mixed feelings about this place. Found it heading to the coast of Washington. Right off the side of the main road in a tiny little town.the restaurant was broken up into a bunch of different areas inside and it was a little odd. It wasn't authentically old it was made to look that way. Staff was nice. My breakfast burrito was good but really overpriced for what I got. $15 for a coffee and breakfast burrito and I left still hungry.I didn't get that Small Town diner experience that I seek out often at this establishment.i would give this spot 3.5 if i could.
Very good food. Nice staff. Interesting display items items inside and out.
The food is always good and our service is great. Callie is very friendly and provides great customer service.
Gotta go for the burgers and the Omelettes and Eggs Bennny and just about anything on the menu! Best service ever!!!
I ordered the Ruben. I was pretty disappointed. There was only 3-4 slices of meat. I could not tell there was any sauerkraut, then all of a sudden in one bite was about a tablespoon of kraut. Flavors were very good. Unfortunately my sandwich was very soggy on the bottom side also. I thought the service was good. Not worth the price on the Ruben. My table mates hamburgers looked great.
Interesting decor. Good onion rings. Clam chowder not so good
Stopped in at 11 AM on a Friday. Sat right down and got service right away. Place is about half full. Food was really good. I had the chicken fried steak and the wife had the French toast. Food was hot and on our table within 10 to 15 minutes. Service was great. My coffee always full. Great prices for being right of the highway. Portions were good sized also. It may not be a "must stop" place, but you will NOT regret it. All in all a great place to stop in for some comfort food. Tables were clean right after customers left. They were not left dirty.
Very cute rustic style restaurant. Service was pretty good, food could have been cooked a little bit more. Clean and friendly restaurant all around.
Had a party of 12 that they couldn't accommodate. I would've gone elsewhere if I'd known that. Met family halfway here, we all drove over an hour and we rarely see each other so I really wanted one space together. They originally seated us in parallel tables. Finally a family left near one of our tables so we asked to move there to be all together and the waitress sounded annoyed and unwilling to help. We did anyway and were happy, but we won't be meeting here again. Save them the inconvenience. Lol. *original post March 1st and edited July 1st for grammatical error so dined before C-virus
Great restaurant, local ingredients and staff is fantastic. Menu is broad range, breakfast served all day and good choices. Picture is of a barnyard burger, too much food! :)Overall, good experience and would definitely come back in the future. Thank you for a great experience.
Fun decore and a good glimpse of the demographic if you find yourself in Elma anytime and are feeling like a bit of a sit down diner experience or you want to have a tall cup of beer and a couple shots before hitting the road again. Had a burger with onion rings, BBQ sauce, bacon and pepper jack, with a side a clam chowder of course! Would eat here again.
Come by whenever I'm headed to Ocean Shores, never disappointed! Always amazing, and I recommend this place to everyone
Was a real nice local restaurant/bar. Draft beer and all your favorites. Great food. Tried first time Deep Fried Avocado.A must visit if in Elma!
This is a great, American homestyle dinner with a bar you can sit at. Food's great and you get lots of menu options. This is the only place I've been where you can get a Yak burger. It's a burger made from Yak meat. I had the Yak burger, and it's very interesting. Not gamey, but not beef either. Very lean. I thought it was good. I loved the nostalgia and the decor! The name is appropriate because there's lots of rusty tractors outside!
Side salad is so fresh it's like they have a garden outback! Patty melt was perfect and so was the service
Food was really good, service was good as well. Really friendly people
